How do you get a natural hairline from a full lace wig when you have a full natural hairline?
I own a full lace wig and had it applied and she applied it WAY too far down on my hairline. It looked so unnatural I did not pay her and I made her take it off. I understand why Tyra's lace wigs look so natural...she has a 5 head and room to play around with. I however have a head full of natural hair and a healthy hairline to match with a normal forehead. I just get sick of my hair and just want to take a break so I bought the wig. Now I can't get it to look natural on my hairline. It has swiss lace and a silk top. The hair is virgin and is not thick at all, 80%. I just want to be able to wear it. The adhesive she used was No Tape and Ultra Hold both of which broke my entire hairline out with bumps. PLEASE HELP!
Thanks for responding. I went to Ms. Lola's site and was directed to a YouTube video of how to apply the band-aid technique. Very interesting that you can put the adhesive from the band-aid on your hair and it wont damage the hairline. Thanks for the response!!!

You have a couple of options, you can shave your hairline back (some people do this who wear wigs long term) alternatively you could use the bandage (thick bandaid/ plaster) technique, this way your hairline only has an adhesive bandage on it (which won't damage it) and you put the wig glue onto the bandage and not your skin. This means you could even leave some of your natural hair coming through and blending with the baby hair of the wig.
You could also wear a fringe/bangs so that would hide the hairline if you thought it looked too unatural.
